Major stock indexes finish higher for week

NEW YORK — Technology stocks finished higher Friday while the rest of the stock market lagged on concerns about banks' foreclosure woes.

All three major indexes finished higher for the week. The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 31.79 yesterday to 11,062.78, but still was up 0.5 percent for the week.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 2.38 yesterday to 1,176.19, up 1 percent for the week. The Nasdaq jumped 33.39 Friday to 2,468.77, up 2.8 percent for the week.
