Consumer sentiment falls to lowest of year

NEW YORK -- U.S. consumer sentiment as measured by the Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan index fell in July to its lowest of the year, according to a report released Friday.

The index fell to 72.3 from 73.2 in June. The monthly decline was the second consecutively.
