Restaurant supply firm sets date for closing

M&M Restaurant Supply, a local distribution center that announced in April that it would close by year’s end, informed the state this week that it will cease operations and dismiss its 130 employees between Dec. 9 and Dec. 23.

In a filing with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the company restated its decision to close the Toledo facility at 1015 New York St. because M&M’s parent company, Keystone Foods LLC, of West Conshohocken, Pa., sold its distribution business.

M&M provides food, paper, and other supplies to local quick-service restaurants.
