Fitness 4 All to run Sylvania Township facility
10/13/2012The former Lifestyles for Ladies Only fitness gym at 5215 Monroe St. in Sylvania Township is being taken over by another local gym owner, Fitness 4 All, which plans to reopen the gym today.
Keith Zoeller, owner of Fitness 4 All, which has four Toledo area locations, including one at 6363 Monroe St. in Sylvania, said he signed a deal this week with the gym site’s owner, Don Finnegan, Jr., to occupy the former Lifestyles space.
The Lifestyles gym, which had about 350 members, was closed abruptly a week ago in a leasing dispute. On Sept. 28 the Lifestyles business was sold to another local gym, Red Fitness 24/7, which had hoped to take over the Monroe Street site.
Red Fitness now owns the membership contracts of Lifestyles members, and said it would honor them. But former Lifestyles members will have to use their memberships at the Red Fitness location at 5424 Airport Hwy. instead of on Monroe Street.
Mr. Zoeller said he was not aware of any plans for Red Fitness to occupy the Monroe Street site, and that he was offered a chance to lease the site by Mr. Finnegan, who sought a new gym operator for the site.
Although Fitness 4 All has no contractual ties to Lifestyles for Ladies Only, Mr. Zoeller said he is aware some of its members preferred its Monroe Street location. He said he plans to offer Lifestyles member contracts to join Fitness 4 All and waive a $50 enrollment fee.
