FINDLAY — Findlay Commerce Park has been designated as the second American Electric Power Qualified Data Center Site in Ohio.

AEP looked at electricity infrastructure, access to fiber-optics, the risk of natural disasters, incentive availability, state tax policy, and availability of free cooling. It’s meant to help attract companies that may be looking to build a complex data center.

“This designation represents Findlay’s ability to meet the increasingly complex needs of data center users,” said Tony Iriti, Findlay Hancock County Economic Development Director, in a statement.

The state’s other AEP-qualified data center is in Hilliard, a Columbus suburb.
