BLADE STAFF

Plenty of people like their jobs and the companies they work for. That’s obvious from the entries in our “Top Workplaces” contest.

Is your workplace the best in the Toledo area?

If so, help us spread the word.

The Blade is partnering with WorkplaceDynamics to identify the best places to work in metro Toledo. Any organization with 35 or more employees is eligible. It can be a private or public company, a government unit, a for-profit or nonprofit.

The nomination deadline has been extended until Sept. 20.

The Blade will publish a list of the top companies in January.

We’ll accept nominations from employees, vendors, customers, or the company itself.

Here is a sampling from the nominations already submitted:

● “The company cares about their customers, but also for their employees. They go out of their way to encourage us to grow, help us learn, and form bonds as a company. It is a lot like family here.”

● “I’m able to take on a variety of tasks each day and feel empowered to make my own decisions.”

● “The work environment is just about perfect. People are fun and relaxed, but know when to buckle down and get the job done and get it done well.”

If a nominated company agrees to participate, some of its employees will be surveyed anonymously by WorkplaceDynamics, which specializes in polling employees to gather opinions about an organization's health and the engagement of its employees. The company has conducted top workplace surveys for more than 35 major metro areas.

Nominations can be submitted at toledoblade.com/nominate or by calling 419-617-0606.
