Miami beats Toledo in tournament semifinal

Miami defeated Toledo 58-53 tonight for the Mid-American Conference tournament semifinal at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. UT outscored the RedHawks 30-25 in the second half.

Miami led 33-23 at halftime. Eric Pollitz scored 12 in the first half for Miami (17-14, 11-6 in the MAC), while Florentino Valencia had eight for UT (19-12, 14-3 MAC).

Kent State will play Akron tonight in the other semifinal.
