Rossford board accepts school chief's resignation

11/30/2000

The Rossford board of education last night accepted the resignation of Superintendent Douglas Arnold, effective when his three-year contract expires July 31.

Dr. Arnold said Monday that he intended to resign from the $88,000-a-year job as part of a career move. He said he is "looking at options." The board voted unanimously to accept Dr. Arnold's resignation, a one-sentence letter submitted yesterday.

Dr. Arnold could not be reached for comment. Joseph Minarcin, Jr., president of the board, would not comment. The board recently did an evaluation of the superintendent, a copy of which was not available last night.
