Washington Local student allegedly attacks principal

An 11-year-old Washington Local School student was charged yesterday with violating the safe school ordinance after he yelled and cursed at a principal and punched him several times in the mouth, police said.

The incident occurred at Trilby Elementary School, 5730 Secor Rd., about noon.

The boy was taken to the principal, Edward Kaser, 40, after he argued with another student . Mr. Kaser leaned down to talk with the boy and put his hand on his shoulder when the student started yelling and cursing. The boy then punched Mr. Kaser, police said.

Mr. Kaser wasn't injured. The boy was released to his mother.
