Former Lima leader to head Delta schools

DELTA - Bill Lodermeier, former superintendent in the Lima Shawnee District, has been hired as superintendent of Pike-Delta-York Schools.

He will replace Chuck Atkins, who will retire from Delta schools at the end of this term.

Mr. Lodermeier, 53, retired as Shawnee superintendent in December, Deborah Ford, Pike-Delta-York treasurer, said. He worked in Shawnee as a high school principal and superintendent for 14 years.

Before the Lima post, Mr. Lodermeier, who will be paid $74,000 at Pike-Delta-York, was transportation superintendent, science teacher, and coach at Bluffton Schools. He taught at Ashland Maple Heights and at Norwalk St. Paul High School.

Mr. Atkins said Mr. Lodermeier will begin duties in June after he moves to the district.
