Perrysburg schools hires treasurer from Tiffin

TIFFIN - Fredric Barba, treasurer of Tiffin City Schools for 11 years, was hired yesterday as treasurer of Perrysburg public schools during a special meeting of the board of education. A resident of Tiffin, Mr. Barba has 35 years experience as a management accountant, including 18 years as a treasurer in Ohio public schools.

He will begin his duties in Perrysburg Dec. 3. His annual salary was set at $70,000. Mr. Barba replaces James Larson-Shidler, who left Perrysburg during the summer to become assistant to the treasurer of Toledo Public Schools. Joseph Klein, a retired treasurer with the Perrysburg district, has served as interim treasurer.
