One of four finalists for University of Toledo provost has pulled out of the running to become provost at Ohio University, Athens.

Dr. Stephen Kopp, dean of the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions at Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, informed UT yesterday of his decision to accept the offer from Ohio University. That leaves three candidates for the UT post: Dr. Glen Hahn Cope, dean of the college of public affairs and administration at the University of Illinois at Springfield; Dr. Peter Englert, pro-vice chancellor and dean of science, architecture, and design at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand; and Dr. Alan G. Goodridge, professor of biochemistry and former executive dean of the colleges of the arts and sciences at Ohio State University.
