BGSU gets $600,000 for technology

BOWLING GREEN - Bowling Green State University has been awarded more than $600,000 in grants from the Ohio Board of Regents to invest in technology and information literacy.

A two-way, interactive television network that permits teaching to occur between BGSU and other institutions will receive a $294,239 boost. The funds will be used to upgrade equipment on the main campus and at the other institutions, according to university officials.

A project to improve student learning through faculty development will benefit from a $343,000 award. In conjunction with Kent State University, BGSU will help faculty understand and access the kinds of information outlets that are available.
