UT professor's webcast to focus on satellites

4/26/2002

A University of Toledo researcher will teach more than 3,300 students today across North America via the Internet about how NASA uses satellites to monitor climate changes.

The webcast featuring Dr. Kevin Czajkowski, assistant professor of geography and planning, will begin at 1 p.m. It will be broadcast from the satellite center at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland.

Twelve of the schools participating in the webcast have been working with Dr. Czajkowski and NASA over the last several years to collect surface temperatures that are then used to calculate global warming.
