ADRIAN — A $750,000 grant from the Kresge Foundation will help Siena Heights University complete a $1.7 million expansion and upgrade of its fieldhouse.

The Kresge Foundation of Troy, Mich., approved the grant for Siena last month. An 8,945-square-foot addition to the front of the fieldhouse will include a fitness center, a benefit for students and staff as well as the surrounding community, and an expanded training room.

The addition is being coupled with the remodeling of 2,531 square feet of existing space to provide a multipurpose conference room, additional offices for coaches and staff whose work areas are crowded and scattered around campus, and larger restrooms.
