TIFFIN — Heidelberg College will receive $350,000 in federal funds to buy equipment and help pay for staff members at the school's Water Quality Laboratory.

The money was included in the 2004 Omnibus Appropriations Bill, recently passed by Congress and signed by President Bush, U.S. Rep. Paul Gillmor (R., Old Fort) announced this week.

The funding is the latest in a series of federal grants Mr. Gillmor has obtained for Heidelberg.

Between 2001 and 2003, he obtained $4.8 million for a new science center on campus. The college named it for him.
