CLYDE, Ohio - The Clyde-Green Springs school board has awarded contracts totaling $3.2 million for construction of an 850-seat auditorium at the high school.

Board members, at a meeting Monday night, hired Studer-Obringer of New Washington, Ohio, as the general contractor for $2,172,900. Large subcontractors hired include A.T. Emmett of Port Clinton, $428,832 for electrical work, and Vaughn Industries of Carey, Ohio, $308,000 for heating and air conditioning.

Construction is expected to begin as early as next week and be finished in time for the start of the 2004-05 school year.
