Findlay students get digital option

4/2/2004

FINDLAY - Students in Findlay public schools having problems in traditional classrooms now will be able to enroll in the new Findlay Digital Academy.

The Findlay school board voted yesterday to establish the academy through a contract with the Tri-Rivers Educational Computer Association. Superintendent Robert Lotz said students who feel they need computer-based courses can submit an application.

"Starting and endorsing the Findlay Digital Academy will help Findlay city schools reach some nontraditional students and students who, for whatever reason, cannot succeed in the traditional classroom," said Marty Rothey, board president.
