10/20/2004

Whitney Butler, a senior from Temperance, is undecided on what college she will be attending, although she plans to major in graphic design. Her favorite subjects are creative writing and advanced placement English. She carries a 3.5 grade point average.

Whitney received the Joshua/Caleb Outstanding Leadership Award for two consecutive years and attended Buckeye Girls' State. She is editor-in-chief of the yearbook; student council president; National Honor Society member; and a varsity cheerleader.

Whitney has served meals at the Toledo Rescue Mission, and is active is her church youth group, participating in mission trips and doing volunteer work.

"Whitney has taken on several leadership roles this year," said yearbook teacher Renee Mungons. "Her school involvement is an example and inspiration to underclassmen. Whitney is diligent in academics, has strong organizational skills and exhibits a positive attitude."

She is the daughter of Patrick and Cathy Butler.
