Owens college foundation announces new leaders

The Owens Community College Foundation has named its new leaders.

Rasesh Shah, president of The Andersons Rail Group, replaces Paul Meinerding as chairman. J. Michael Wilder, general counsel and secretary for Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC, is vice chairman; Arthur Smith, retired vice president, general counsel for Libbey Inc., is secretary; and John McDermott, account executive for the Hylant Group, is the new treasurer.

The foundation was incorporated in April, 2002, and has more than $1.3 million in assets. Nineteen people from Lucas, Wood, and Hancock counties are on its board of directors.
