Cheryl Barber, family and consumer sciences extension educator for Fulton County, received a District Achievement Award at the Ohio State University Extension Recognition event held last month.

Her educational programs include parenting enrichment, food safety courses, budgeting and homebuyers' education, and administering Fulton County Leadership program.

She also received first place in exhibits in the Epsilon Sigma Phi Tools for Teaching awards competition. Her display was shown at the Fulton County Fair and targeted community groups that prepare food occasionally for large groups of people.
