1/12/2005

Megan Haubert, a senior from Sylvania, plans to attend the University of Michigan, University of Cincinnati, Michigan State University or Case Western University, with possible majors in biomedical engineering or musical education. She enjoys band, music theory and calculus and carries a 4.4 grade point average.

She is secretary of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; vice president of the National Honor Society; and member of the Northview marching, wind ensemble, jazz and pep bands. She is an active member of Interact and the Spanish club and has held roles in school musicals. Megan is involved with her church, Christ Presbyterian.

She has been on the honor roll of excellence at her school for the last four years. She was recognized as foreign language student of the month at the school and earned the most improved award in cross-country, for which she received a varsity letter. She received a No. 1 superior rating at the solo and ensemble contest.

"Megan is a very talented young lady," said Northview Band Director Eugene Bohland. "More importantly, she is an extremely hard worker. And, most importantly, she is the kind of person you would want your own daughter to be."

She is the daughter of Steven and Linda Haubert.
