1/26/2005

Molly O'Riordon, a senior from Waterville, plans to major in art education at Bowling Green State University, and then attend law school. She enjoys art, honors government, advanced placement English and carries a 4.4 grade point average.

Molly has been recognized for her outstanding achievement in English and social studies by the Lucas County Educational Service Center and is two-year winner of Best of the Best for fiction writing at the state level Power of the Pen competition. Her artwork was chosen to be displayed at the Ohio High School Art Education Exhibit in Columbus and she was first place winner at the Toledo Symphony Showcase of the Arts.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, art and environmental clubs; Youth-to-Youth, and the Toledo Gem and Rockhound club. She is secretary of the French club and has worked for Enhanced Publications in graphic design.

"While Molly is interested in doing her best, her intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm set her apart from most honors students," said English teacher James Berta.

Molly is the daughter of Gayle O'Riordon.
