Student of the Week: Patrick Demkowski

Patrick Demkowski, a senior from Petersburg, plans to attend college to study architecture. After earning his degree, he hopes to pursue a career as an architect as well as a position in public office. He enjoys sociology, chemistry and architectural drawing and carries a 3.7 grade point average.

Patrick is a Buckeye Boys State representative, has been recognized in Who's Who Among American High School Students, and is recipient of the drafting, chemistry and perfect attendance awards. He is a member of the National Honor Society; is on the school honor roll; is class treasurer and vice president, and winner of the school's best supporting actor award. He enjoys Tae Kwon Do, participates in school plays and is a member of the track team.

Patrick is an altar server at his church, is actively involved in Project Outreach, and volunteers for the Democratic Party.

"Patrick is an outstanding young man who is dedicated to making our school a better place," said principal Scott Leach.

He is the son of Kent and Patricia Demkowski.
