Lima school gets $225,000 for 'career pathway' project

COLUMBUS - The KnowledgeWorks Foundation yesterday announced grants of $225,000 each to three career pathway sites in the state, one of which is in Lima.

Rhodes State College is the recipient of one of the grants, with the other two being awarded to Washington State Community College in Marietta and the Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development in Cincinnati.

In all, the grant money should total more than $900,000, including technical assistance funding for the projects.

Career pathway projects include collaborations among several entities that work to reshape education and training of individuals in order to advance their work-force skills.
