Student of the Week: Kyle Roebuck

Kyle Roebuck, a senior from Ida, plans to attend college and receive a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering, continue on to medical school and become a physician. His favorite subjects are math and biology and he carries a 3.9 grade point average.

Kyle was named Most Valuable Player, All-League and captain of the football team; is a Rensselaer Medalist, and recipient of the advanced English I, algebra II, chemistry, academic all-star, and scholar-athlete awards.

He is vice-president of the class executive board, Math Counts team coach, and member of the mock trial team and the National Honor Society. He participates in various volunteer activities through the Morocco United Brethren Church.

"Throughout his high school career, Kyle has taken the initiative to get the most out of his educational opportunities," said math/English teacher Roberta Steffen. "His leadership on the 2003-2004 Ida Mock Trial team was invaluable. His continuing intellectual curiosity makes him a role model for other students."

Kyle is the son of Neil and Beverly Roebuck.
