Jay Treuhaft, a senior from Toledo, plans to attend Ohio State University's or Miami University's honors program and pursue a career in business. He enjoys physics, digital photography and history and carries a 3.6 grade point average.
Jay is a Buckeye Boy's State delegate; two-time American Legion History/Americanism test winner; National Honor Society member and member of the First Team Toledo Area Athletic Conference in football.
He lettered in varsity football and tennis; is a three-year member of the quiz bowl team; vice president of student council; treasurer of the Spanish club; member of Model United Nations and cast member in the school musical.
Jay is a Sunday school aide at Temple Shomer Emunim and is a Youth Leadership Toledo participant.
"Jay is an excellent student, a committed athlete, a leader in our school and an especially personable young man," said principal Katharine Hurst. "He is sensitive, genuinely interested in other students, and easily approachable. He has been a true asset to our community."
Jay is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Treuhaft.
