A computer instructor at Owens Community College has been suspended without pay, a college official said yesterday.

The suspension of Hal Hamer, which was effective March 18, stems from a violation of a section of the Owens Faculty Association's contract with the college, records state.

Gary Dettling, vice president for college advancement, said Owens officials are reviewing the matter. Because of the legal nature of the situation, Mr. Dettling said he could not comment further.

Perrysburg Township police are investigating.
