UT police union reaches labor accord with school

The third of four labor organizations at the University of Toledo has reached a proposed contract agreement with the administration.

On Thursday night, members of UT's Police Patrolman's Association overwhelmingly approved a three-year contract offer, Mick Dier, the union's president, said. The pact for the two dozen members calls for a 2 percent raise the first year, a salary adjustment the second year, and a 3 percent pay increase the last year, Mr. Dier said.

The contract, which still requires the approval of UT's board of trustees, is retroactive to Jan. 1.
