Student of the Week: Emily Lewis

Emily Lewis, a senior from Toledo and salutatorian of her class, plans to attend either Notre Dame University of Georgetown University, and study law. She enjoys history, literature and mathematics and carries a 4.5 grade point average.

Emily was honored as the varsity soccer most valuable player; is yearbook editor; president of the National Honor Society; secretary of student council; and president of the Jefferson Madison Leadership Team.

She volunteers at the Boys and Girls Club; is a peer tutor and assisted on the 2004 Bush presidential campaign.

"Emily is a devoted and ambitious young woman," said Christine Colemen, assistant principal. "Not only does she excel in the academic arena; she possesses the work ethic to excel in extracurricular activities as well as community service. She is a tireless worker and an outstanding student. Emily Lewis is a name we'll hear great things about in the future."

Emily is the daughter of Tobin Lewis.
