Student of the Week: Stephanie Allred

Stephanie Allred, a senior from Oregon, plans to attend Ohio State University to study pre-medicine. Upon graduation from medical school, she plans to become a pediatrician. Stephanie's favorite subjects are math and anatomy and she carries a 4.1 grade point average.

Stephanie is ranked in the top 10 percent of her class. She is a member of the National Honor Society and recipient of the national honor award. She plays varsity volleyball and softball and is a member of DECA, or Delta Epsilon Chi, a national association for students and teachers of marketing, management and business.

She has helped to organize a Muscular Dystrophy Association charity dance at Clay High School, and volunteers as a sixth-grade camp counselor for Fassett Middle School.

"Stephanie's attributes include initiative, dedication, commitment, perseverance and she is a leader among her classmates," said Anna Diekman, marketing education instructor. "She strives for more than what is expected of the very best student, which results in the achievement of her goals."

Stephanie is the daughter of Allen and Kelly Allred.
