Lake school board plans special session tonight

8/4/2005

The Lake Local Board of Education has called a special meeting for tonight to discuss personnel, the upcoming November election, and any other business it needs to transact.

The board will meet at 6 p.m. at the Millbury School Building, 28025 Main St. The board plans to open the meeting and then go into a closed-door session to discuss personnel, Superintendent Paul Orshoski said.

Afterward, Mr. Orshoski said, the board plans to discuss the millage amounts for the emergency levy the district plans to put on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Voters have rejected the last five funding requests from Lake schools. The most recent was an 8.75-mill operating levy defeated in May that would have raised $2 million a year for the district.
