10/5/2005

Corey Balogh, a senior from Oregon, plans to attend Ohio State, Miami, or Purdue University and major in chemistry and biochemistry. He hopes to pursue a higher degree and get a great job.

Corey's favorite subjects are math, science, and Spanish, and he has a 4.2 grade-point average.

He is vice president of the band, has received two varsity letters, was presented the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Association of the Two Toledos, and received two excellent ratings at the solo and ensemble competition.

Corey is a member of the marching, pep, and jazz bands, track and field, Limelighters, and the National Honor Society. He enjoys volunteering his time at his church.

"Corey is a delightful, thoughtful and valuable member of the Clay High Community," said teacher Scott Bruns. "His drive to excel is inspiring, his intellect is impressive, and he is an exceedingly pleasant young man. Clay is richer because of his presence here."

Corey is the son of Ken and Lynn Balogh.
