Teacher of the Month - Trish Sanders

Trish Sanders serves at her alma mater, Notre Dame Academy, as the fine arts chairman, speech and drama instructor and moderator of the forensic team.

She also directs the school musical theater productions.

The National Forensic League honored Mrs. Sanders with a first diamond in recognition of her successful coaching of students to state and national championships.

She serves on the Ohio High School Speech League Executive Committee, and has chaired as well as hosted state tournaments at Notre Dame Academy.

Under Mrs. Sander's directions, Notre Dame has been honored with the award of Leading Forensic Chapter in the Western Ohio District.

"Mrs. Sanders continually goes above and beyond for the girls of Notre Dame Academy," said principal Kim Grilliot. "In the classroom, directing school plays and musicals, Mrs. Sanders fosters a positive attitude for learning as well as for life.

The experiences she has provided for the many students that she has touched over the years have provided an environment for talent to flourish."

Mrs. Sanders holds a bachelor of arts degree in theater and English (1976) from the University of Toledo, and an master of arts degree in English (1980) from Bowling Green State University.
