UT professor joining Bedford school board

TEMPERENCE The Bedford Board of Education last night chose a University of Toledo music professor to fill a vacancy within its ranks.

Timothy Brakel is scheduled to be sworn in Thursday.

He will fill out the remainder of former board member Nancy Pilbeam s term, which expires June, 2006.

Mrs. Pilbeam resigned last month after announcing that she was moving out of state. Mr. Brakel was one of five candidates interviewed last night by the six remaining board members.
