Power outage closes 3 Monroe County schools

11/2/2005

MONROE - An outage in Monroe County closed three schools and left 2,000 customers without power yesterday morning.

Power went out at 7:30 a.m. because of a tie line into the county's substation, a DTE Energy spokesman said. Power was restored at 10:15 a.m.

The outage caused Jefferson Schools' North Elementary, middle, and high school buildings to close for the day.
