11/2/2005

Mary Rhollans, a senior from Sylvania and valedictorian of her class, plans to attend either Wheaton or Calvin University to study occupational therapy.

Her favorite subjects include math, Spanish, and science, and she has a 4.6 grade-point average.

Mary was chosen as one of two student representatives to be on the interview committee to choose a new athletic director for Northview High School.

She was sophomore representative to the Diversity Breakfast sponsored by the Toledo Board of Community Relations and received two superior ratings at the OMEA solo and ensemble competition.

She has been on the honor roll of excellence for 12 quarters.

Mary is vice president of student government, head choreographer of the school musical, a member of the varsity dance team and marching band, and a 10-year piano student and performer.

She is an active member of the youth group at Epworth United Methodist Church.

"Mary Rhollans is one of the most delightful and conscientious students I have ever had," said advanced placement chemistry teacher Andy Roth.

"Her dedication to doing her best at all times is a character trait that will ensure her future success."

Mary is the daughter of Jim and Nancy Rhollans.
