Placement tests for area Catholic high schools set for tomorrow

12/2/2005

Eighth-grade students wishing to attend one of the six Toledo-area Catholic high schools beginning with the 2006-07 academic year should take the placement test tomorrow morning, the Catholic diocese said.

Students should arrive at the high school of their choice by 7:30 a.m. with two pencils, a calculator, and a $20 check made out to the high school.

Students are requested to take the test at their first-choice school, said Jack Altenburger, superintendent of Toledo Catholic Schools.

Makeup exams will be given at some of the Catholic high schools on several of the following Saturdays.

The test usually lasts until about 12:30 p.m. Last year, 1,200 applicants took the placement exam.
