Toledo Public Schools officials yesterday celebrated the completion of a $2 million renovation of its Adult Education Center at the former Riverside Hospital complex in North Toledo.
The Toledo Board of Education agreed to purchase the former hospital site for $750,000 in 2004.
The district moved its adult education programs which include allied health, a barber school, business education, and a building trades pre-apprenticeship from the former DeVilbiss High School. That building is slated to be renovated to house a middle school.
The newly renovated building also will be used for meetings and staff development, school leaders said.
