National City Bank has donated $200,000 to the University of Toledo s college of business administration to fund an entrepreneurial lab in the proposed addition to Stranahan Hall, UT officials will announce today.

Capable of duplicating a real-world setting, the entrepreneurial lab will feature software and hardware designed to foster start-ups and get creative juices flowing, said Thomas Gutteridge, dean of the business school.

It s a whole different, hands-on, almost Tinker Toy-kind of learning process, Mr. Gutteridge said.

The business college is in the process of raising $2 million out of the total $13.2 million needed to build the 51,000-square-foot Complex for Business Learning and Engagement, which will extend east from Stranahan Hall, the college s current home.
