FINDLAY The University of Findlay said it will spend about $7.2 million on construction projects on campus during the next fiscal year.
At a two-day meeting last week, trustees approved the projects as part of the board s annual budget meeting.
The projects include a $3 million renovation of the former Owens Community College property which it agreed to purchase for $4.1 million last month. Other projects include a $2.2 million addition at the Mazza Museum of International Art from Children s Picture Books, which is being funded through contributions, and the construction of an arena at the western equestrian farm for $500,000.
UF officials said they also plan to spend about $1.5 million on maintenance and improvement projects throughout campus and about $1 million to re-equip basic science and other laboratories.
