5/25/2006

Stewart Jesse, a school administrator from California, has been named as the new Northview High School principal, effective Aug. 1.

Mr. Jesse, assistant principal of Silverado High School in Victorville since 2004, replaces Kevin Gorman, who is retiring July 31 after serving as Northview principal for 14 years.

Mr. Jesse, who was given a two-year contract by the Sylvania Board of Education, will be paid $94,510 a year.

The new principal graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y., and trained officers who served in the Gulf War. He is relocating to northwest Ohio to be closer to his twin brother, Neal Jesse, a political science professor at Bowling Green State University.
