Southview principal takes Penta position

Sylvania Southview Principal Jeff Kurtz will move to the Penta Career Center in August after the board of education approved hiring him as career-technical director Wednesday.

Mr. Kurtz, Southview's principal for six years, was previously an administrator in the Toledo Public Schools. He has been principal of Start High, Byrnedale Junior High, and Harvard Elementary schools, and assistant principal at Woodward High School.

Penta Career Center's current director, Ron Simon, is retiring after 12 years.
