Archbold OKs retirement of school official

9/12/2006

ARCHBOLD, Ohio - Archbold Area Schools' board of education last night approved the retirement of A. Jean Stamm, treasurer of the school district in Fulton County.

She plans to retire effective Dec. 31. She served as treasurer for 24 years.

Her departure will mark another top administrative change in the district. Archbold began the school year with a new superintendent and a new high school principal.

David Deskins, a Bowling Green State University graduate and former principal of a combined middle-senior high school in Darke County, was named as superintendent to replace Ken Cline who retired.

Timothy J. Meister, the Bryan High School athletic director and occupational work adjustment coordinator, was hired in July as principal of Archbold High School. He replaced Marcia Rozevink, who was principal for 11 years.

David Yoder, school board president, said he anticipates the search for a new treasurer would get under way as soon as possible.
