Washington Local board announces appointments

The Washington Local Board of Education appointed an assistant superintendent and a director of student services, the district announced yesterday.

Cherie Mourlam, who was the district s director of student services since fall, 2002, was promoted Monday night to the system s No. 2 position.

Patrick Hickey, who held that post for five years, was named superintendent last month to replace Michael Carmean, who retired July 31.

Tim Cullen, who was the director of pupil services since 2005 for Perrysburg Schools, was hired to fill the position vacated by Ms. Mourlam.
