9/26/2007

A year after starting its first class in the Toledo area, the ITT Technical Institute will hold an official ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony.

Maumee Mayor Tim Wagener will be the keynote speaker at the event, which is scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at the college, 1656 Henthorne Blvd., Springfield Township.

About 250 students are enrolled in the six career-focused, technology-oriented associate degree programs offered at the college.

The career college is owned by the Carmel, Ind.-based ITT Educational Services Inc., which operates more than 90 ITT Technical Institutes in 34 states.

There are six other campuses in Ohio and four in Michigan.
