Oregon Schools Superintendent John Hall was not chosen for the school superintendent's job in Ashland, Ohio.

The Ashland Board of Education voted Wednesday night to hire Mark Robinson, an assistant superintendent with the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District in Broadview Heights, which is about 15 miles south of Cleveland.

Rich Ewing, Ashland board president, said Mr. Robinson agreed to a three-year contract at an annual salary of $115,000.

Mr. Hall, one of four finalists, declined to comment about his interest in the job.
