Toledo Public Schools will hold a hearing today on the budget for the 2009-10 school year.
The hearing is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the board headquarters at 420 East Manhattan Blvd.
Last month, the board approved budget cuts and capacity changes, which included closing Fulton and Nathan Hale elementary schools, to trim $10 million from the coming year's budget.
The Fiscal Year 2010 budget includes $280 million in revenue and $287 million in expenditures.
The district's five-year forecast has balanced budgets for the current fiscal year and next year, but is anticipating shortfalls of up to $20 million for fiscal year 2011 and $50 million for 2012.
