Monroe college chief gets new, 3-year pact

12/4/2009

MONROE — Monroe County Community College President David Nixon has been given a new, three-year contract that provides for no salary increases.

The college's board of trustees approved a new contract Wednesday with Mr. Nixon, who took over the school's top job in 2003.

He will be paid an annual salary of $142,426 for the duration of the contract, which runs though July 31, 2013.

In June, Mr. Nixon joined administrators and nonunion support staff in taking a salary freeze, giving up the $3,000 raise he was scheduled to receive in August.
