Perrysburg schools could lay off as many as 52

The Perrysburg schools has notified 52 staff members that they may not have their jobs next year.

The employees who may be laid off are 20 teachers, 13 support staffers, two administrators, and 17 paraprofessionals under contract through Lucas and Wood counties.

The district must trim its budget by $3 million, or 7.5 percent, because of falling revenues, Treasurer Matt Feasel said.
